Leh, Jan 20 (KNO): The first positive case of a new UK strain in the union territory of Ladakh will undergo a retest next week as per the set protocol and guidelines for the new variant virus. The Ladakh region reported the first case of new strain on January 14 and had earlier tested positive for novel coronavirus last year on arrival from outside the UT. Health officials told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that the 38-year-old individual with a travel history of Germany tested positive for the new variant of SARS-CoV-2 will undergo the first retest next week. "The test is expected to be conducted on Monday most probably", the official said. He said that the individual will be retested on Monday since the ten days complete on this week's Sunday.
